E. Schindler Funeral Held Here Jan 22

Funeral services for Mrs.Evelyn Schindler,77,were held Friday,Jan. 22,from First United Methodist Church,with Rev.Lyle Pierce officiating.

Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs.Schindler died January,20 in Youens Memorial Hospital after three days' illness.

Born April 3,1904,at La Grange,she was a daughter of John and Elise (Nordhausen) Taylor.She was married to Emil Schindler on July 15,1925,in First Methodist Church of La Grange.

Mrs.Schindler attended San Marcos Teachers College after graduation from La Grange High School and for awhile taught at Bois d'Arc School near Weimar.A Weimar resident since her marriage,she was a member of the Methodist WSCS,the Literary Guild,Weimar Sewing Club,and Parkview Manor Auxiliary,and was a former Girl Scout leader.

Mrs.Schindler's husband died on Nov. 5,1979.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law,Jo Ann and Aubrey Simmons of Garland;one great-grandson,Brian Erwin of Dallas;one sister,Mrs.Raymond Lampe of La Grange;,and one brother,Albert Taylor of La Grange.Two sisters,and a brother preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were Kervy Kahlden,Herbert Bahner,Edgar Bahner,Jack Taylor,Earl Taylor and Edwin Billeck.
