Judith Ann went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2011 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington, after suffering a stroke. She was received into His arms peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on September 10, 1941 in Warren, Ohio to Dayton J. "Bud" and Lois I. Dadisman.

She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren in 1959. She decided to follow in the footsteps of her aunt, Lena Carson, and become an elementary school teacher. Judy graduated in 1963 from Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and from Central State College, Wilberforce, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

She moved back home and got a job at Kiser Elementary School in Champion, Ohio.

Dennis Pearce proposed to Judy at her home in 1963 while they were watching "Miracle on 34th Street," and they were married at Judy's home church, North-Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, in Warren, Ohio on September 5th 1964. Dennis was still in school, so Judy taught at Cedarville Elementary School from 1964-66.

After moving to Bucyrus, Ohio, Judy gave birth to her first son in 1966 and her second son in 1968. She substitute taught in the Colonel Crawford Local School District near North Robinson, Ohio, in 1971.

The family moved to Dennis's family farm, located in Cedarhome, Washington in 1972. They built a house closer to Stanwood in 1975, where Dennis and Judy lived for the rest of their lives. Judy began teaching again in 1976 for the Stanwood School District, where she taught third and fourth grades at Church Creek Elementary School. She settled into second grade at Stanwood Elementary School, where she completed her career in 1996. Dennis and Judy adopted their third son in 1981.

Judy loved her husband, and all of her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, and she and Dennis toured the nation, visiting family, as well as historic sites. One of her favorite trips was a tour of Washington, D.C., Amish Country, Philadelphia, Williamsburg and surrounding areas. She traveled there many times. Judy was also a vocal fan of sunny, warm weather. She enjoyed being near the water as often as she could.

She loved being crafty, and excelled at making stained glass pieces and Christmas wreaths. She loved throwing tea parties for her friends. She took an amazing delight in her grandchildren, and loved having special days with them, including cookie-making parties.

Judy was a member of Cedarhome Baptist Church from 1972 to 2003, and a member of Island Baptist Church from 2003 until her death. At Cedarhome Baptist Church she taught Sunday School, ran Vacation Bible Schools, served on the Christian Education Committee, and played the piano and organ. At Island Baptist Church, she was a deaconess and the church organist for many years until the time of her death.

Judy leaves behind her dear family: sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Linda, of Stanwood, Timothy and his wife, Kathleen ("Kiki"), of Stanwood, James and his fiancé, Melissa Ellsworth, of Ephrata; beloved grandchildren, Kimberly Pearce, Bryson Pearce, Joshua Pearce, Trysten Ellsworth, James Pearce, Aiden Ellsworth, Madison Pearce, Braxton Pearce, Ethan Pearce and Ainsley Pearce; siblings, Marlea Dadisman of Mesa, AZ, and David Dadisman and his wife, Bonnie, of Clearwater, FL; aunt, Imogene Boyd, of Penney Farms, FL; brother-in-law, Roger and his wife, Janet, of Anacortes, sister-in-law, Sandra Swanson and her husband, Grant, of Lake Stevens, brother-in-law, Michael and his wife, Julie, of Stanwood; adopted granddaughter, Elizabeth Callaghan, of Stanwood; and many much-loved nephews, nieces and cousins.

Judy also leaves behind many dear friends she made throughout her life, including friends from Warren and Bucyrus, Ohio, Cedarville College, Island Baptist Church, Cedarhome Baptist Church, and the Stanwood and Camano Island communities.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Jean, in 1941, her father in 1995, her mother in 2002, and her husband in 2008.

Private family interment will be held at Cedarhome Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Drive, Camano Island, Washington.

Memorials may be made to Skagit Regional Cancer Care Center (Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation), P.O. Box 1376, Mount Vernon, WA, 98273, or to Island Baptist Church, 147 Woodland Drive, Camano Island, WA, 98282.

The family would like to thank everyone for their constant prayers, words of love, and acts of kindness during this difficult time.

Judy long ago surrendered herself to the will of God as revealed in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and she did so in faith, not knowing what God's specific plans would be for her. Judy determined each day to continue to submit herself to God, and she trusted that God knew what was best for her. May the same be said of each one of us in our darkest hours, and always.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, Washington.
