James Leo Reinbolt was named after his maternal grandfather, James Campbell, and his paternal grandfather, Leo Reinbolt. Jim lived in Lucas County, Ohio most of his life. Jim was employed by Spicer Manufacturing Corporation in October, 1941 at a wage of $0.86 per hour. He joined the Navy October 29, 1942, went to and graduated from the Naval Training School (Electrical) and became an Electrician's Mate. He served abroad the USS Marblehead and the USS Vincennes. His lieutenant wrote "His work has been largely the repair and installation of residential and office wiring and the repair of small electric motors. He has done his work industriously and well and has shown very definite mechanical ability and considerable ingenuity. He is an extremely willing and reliable type man. He is an honest, sober, and intelligent worker with an uncomplaining cheerful disposition." He received an Honorable Discharge December 29 1945 and the comments on his discharge paper states: Electricians Mate Third Class Point System, American Area Medal, Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Then Jim went back to work for Spicer Transmission Division of Dana Corporation where he worked with drills and lathes. He completed 41 years and 2 months of service. Jim married Alice May Russell on December 7, 1946. They had three children and seven grandchildren. He enjoyed making stools and toys of wood, fishing at Posey Lake, and playing card and domino games with his family.
