Hettie Lee Dieterich, eldest child of Silas Scott and Hattie Gasteneau Parrish, was born November 13, 1905, in Hedge City, Missouri, and passed away December 5, 1979, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Weston Dieterich, February 27, 1945 and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Dotolene Yoder and husband, Vernon, of Memphis, Missouri; one son Robert B. Fetters of Mapleton, Illinois; a step-daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Twila) Cresap, Portland, Oregon; a son-in-law, Ray V. Hayes, Jr. Peoria, Illinois; four brothers, Medford Parrish, Fort Towson, Oklahoma; Ernest Parrish, Newark, Missouri; Carl Parrish, Lewistown, Missouri; and Calvin Parrish, East Moline, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Edna) Couch, Peoria, Illinois and Mrs. Fred (Ethel) Smith, Hanna City, Illinois; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dorothy Hayes, two sisters and one brother.

She was a member of the Arbela Methodist Church.

Hettie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a friend and neighbor to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 8, 1979, at 1:30 p.m. in the Payne-Gerth Chapel, Memphis, Missouri. The Rev. Neil Dubach officiated. Kenneth Campbell sang and Ann Luther furnished the music. Burial was in the Etna Cemetery. Body bearers were Carl Mohr, Clark Dye, Howard Noble, Donald Mohr, Bud Mohr, and Kenneth Dieterich.
