After the war in Europe had ended Staff Sergeant Robert Henry Bacon was honorably discharged from the Army on July 22, 1945.

He was married to " Margaret E. Keith " who's parents and birthdate are currently unknown. They had " 4 " children together. Margaret passed away on September 6, 2002 at the age of 77 and was interred in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, New Hampshire.
