Eli Daniel Osburn, 81, retired Madison County farmer, died Saturday morning at the home of his grandson, Edgar, of Crosses. He was a lifelong resident of Madison county, having been born May 1, 1870 at Temple Hill. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Jim Osburn; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Ellen Wheeler and Mrs. Arene Watkins; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services for were held in the Brannon Mt. Church, by the Rev. Howard Pritchard and Hugh Shackelford. Burial in the Brannon Mt. cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral home.
