YOUNKIN: Moses Younkin was murdered Thurs (Jan 21) in Whatcom, Wash. One afternoon he was walking home from town when an Indian, who had been drinking, grabbed his watch and hit him over the head with a hammer. He did not live long. He had come to Clay Co Apr 1856 with his bros William and Jeremiah; settled on Timber Creek in Grant twp; moved to Whatcom 1882 with a colony from Kan; has 3 ch in Grant Twp, Mrs. Henry Elias, John M. & Robert. (28 Jan 1892)
