Laura Mae Giggey was born to the parents of George Wiggen and his wife Julia Ann Smith Giggey on August 8th 1861 in Kane, Illinois.

She married William Corridon Lewis on April 17th 1881 at the age of 19 in Boulder, Colorado. Together they had a son Albert Roy and two daughters, Winona 'Nona' and Hazel D., they then moved to Sumas, Washington with other family members.

She left her husband William in Sumas, Washington, and married Henry Anson White in Canada on June 1st 1902 at the age of 40. Henry was married twice before, once to Winona Lewis then he married Winona's mother Laura. They probably made the decision to go to Canada being that is where her father was born. Henry was a well known druggist in Sumas, seems she would have married in the city of Sumas and had a large wedding, but most probably it would have caused a big scandal back in those days. She and Winona had already been both living in Henry's house for some time according to Census records. This was the 3rd marriage for Henry the druggist, the second for Laura. Cannot find any divorce's recorded, but after the divorce William her first husband moved out of state. No issue of second marriage. Her first husband William passed in Wyoming with some of his immediate family present. She outlived both of her husbands.

Laura passed on January 4th 1942 at the age of 80 in Sumas, Whatcom County, Washington, buried in Bayview Cemetery, with her second husband Henry Anson White. Henry's first wife is buried separately in Whatcom, Washington with a daughter Edith Steel they adopted under her maiden name 'Edson'. Buried on the 7th of July in the year 1942.
