Mithero Berzanes 'MB' Brown was the son of Isaac Haire Brown and Mary (Mooney?), he was one of 14 children born in TN, migrated to Texas Co. MO about 1848. Married Mary Jane Cooper April 1872, Mantua, Collin Co. TX. Moved the young family to Jones Co. TX, near Abilene, where Mary Jane died after childbirth in August 1892. He then moved the children to Cottle Co. Tx where the most of the children settled. He then obtained land around Alamagordo, NM, where he was living prior to his death. The family was notified of his death and varying stories have filtered down from "being robbed and beaten to death', to 'Robbed and froze to death". Nevertheless he was en route from Alamagordo to Paducah, Cottle Co. when he was found dead.
