Chester Guidry of Vidor, 74, died Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Bosco, LA he lived in Vidor for 45 years. He was a Air Force veteran of WWII and was a retired carpenter of Local #502 of Beaumont, Texas.
Visitation will begin 8:00 a.m. Saturday with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Cormier Guidry of 53 years of Vidor, Texas; daughters, Terri Stuart and husband Randy Stuart of Zavalla, Texas; Dolores (Dee) Guidry and friend Terre of Vidor, Texas; Beckie Greys and husband Steve Greys, Jr. of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Troy Dale Wilson, Crystal Tidwell, Shayne McHale of Zavalla, Texas; Robert and Josh Bussinger, Stephen Greys III and Heather Greys of Vidor, Texas; great grandchildren, Bryan Duggan, Jr. Arielle Duggan, Terri Nicole Tidwell of Zavalla, Texas; brother, Nerby Guidry of Duson, LA; sisters, Gladys Forrestier of Duson, LA; Ruby Mier of Rayne, LA and many nieces and nephews.
