Cleo Aileen Adams, 84, of Springfield died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 5, 1915, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Roy L. and Alice Gough Poland. She married Keith H. Adams in 1936 in Springfield.
Mrs. Adams retired in 1979 from Horace Mann Insurance Co. She and her husband moved to Lake Sara in Effingham after retirement, returning to Springfield in 1996.
Survivors: husband, Keith; three daughters, Aileen Brandis, Nancy (husband, Phil) Satorius and Susan (husband, David) Houston, all of Springfield; two sons, Edward and Kenneth (wife, Nita) Adams, both of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home, the Rev. Rick Hohimer officiating. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
