Glenn Henry Harper died Nov. 27, 1997 of complications due to pneumonia.

He was born Jan. 20, 1913 in Holladay, UT, the youngest son of Joseph B. and Emily Zina Linnell Harper. He married Elmina May Moser on June 2, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple.Glenn graduated from Granite High School and attended both the University of Utah and Utah State University. Glenn worked faithfully for 32 years at Kennecott Copper. He enjoyed basketball, horse shoes, tennis and watching football. Glenn was an active high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as home teacher, Elders Quorum presidency, Seventies presidency and Stake Ward Teaching Committee.

Glenn was an ambitious, hard worker. He loved visiting with people and had an exceptional knowledge of the history of Holladay. He was always happy to tell stories of the area's pioneer heritage. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Elmina; son and daughters of his brother, LeMar Lorraine (Wayne) Hall; Rulon J. (Paula) Harper; Zinna Harper Smith, and grand nephew, Jimmy Harper; daughters of his brother, Linnell, Afton Jensen and Donna Sessions; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and nephew, Jerry Harper.

The family thanks the nurses who helped make Glenn's life comfortable, Tyrone, Shellie, Mary, Judy and Valerie, and Glenn's favorite nephew, Rulon Harper for being so helpful in completing their dream home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, Dec. 1, 1997 at Holladay 27th Ward, 5450 South Holladay Blvd. Friends may call Sunday, from 6-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane (1990 East).
