Deceased Name: Pearl Anschutz

Memorial visitation will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service today at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest, for Pearl Theresa Anschutz. The 86-year-old Glenview resident died Jan. 11 in Vernon Hills.

Mrs. Anschutz was born Dec. 2, 1917 on the family cherry orchard in Ellison Bay, Wis. She was an outstanding student at Institute School, in Institute, Wis. with her sister Adeline and Arnold Anschutz, whom she would marry. They were taken to school by horse-drawn sled in the winter and by horse in the spring and fall.

The family moved to Chicago around 1940, and Mrs. Anschutz and her sister started a baby-sitting service there. It was in Chicago that she married.

The couple lived in Evanston, and moved to Glenview in 1952.
Mrs. Anschutz was a member of Glenview Community Church, where she was a member of the Exchange Program.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
