MRS. MOORE IS DEAD
Miss Deborah Ann Cassity was born in Bath county, Kentucky, April 21, 1842. She moved from that place to Linneus, Mo. She was married to Wm. Moore Sept. 23, 1866. To this union four children were born: Mrs. Cora Correll, Americus, Mrs. Effie Brickell of Emporia, and two children who died in infancy.
Mrs. Moore joined the Christian church at Linneus, Mo. After living at that place about seven years Mrs. Moore moved to near Saffordville. About 1903 she moved to Americus where she resided until her death. Mr. Moore died March 15, 1913.
Mrs. Moore joined the United Presbyterian church at Americus about 1912, and since that time she has continued and active and consistent member.
Death came suddenly Monday morning, Feb. 5, at four o'clock, caused by heart failure, aged 80 years, 9 months and 14 days. For some time before death she had enjoyed good health.
Mrs. Moore leaves to mourn her death one sister, Mrs. N. A. Stuttsman, Drummer, Mo., and two brothers, William Cassity and Alvah Cassity, both of Purdin, Mo. Mrs. Moore is also survived by three grandchildren are Miss Helen Brickell, of Emporia; Mrs. Effie Gibson of Wichita and Miss Ruth Correll of Americus.
Mrs. Moore will be missed in the church. The United Presbyterian Church of Americus has lost a valuable member. The town has lost a good citizen and those who lived near her a good neighbor. Mrs. Moore was a kind mother, a good friend and an accommodating neighbor.
Funeral services were held from the U. P. Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. M. Wallace had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Americus cemetery.
