Wanda Sherrill Allison
Brevard - Wanda Sherrill Allison, 78, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. A resident of Transylvania County, a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for many years. She was a first grade teacher at Penrose Elementary school where she taught for 30 years before retiring. She was graduate of Brevard College and Western Carolina University. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Allison was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Allison and Edith Sherrill Allison. Surviving are her twin sisters Rebecca A. Wilkie and husband Howard of Brevard and Reba A. Wilkie and husband Harvey of Greenville, S.C. ; one aunt, Mary Sherrill Ramer, of Lillington, NC., one niece, Allison Wilkie McCall and husband Michael of Pisgah Forest, NC, three nephews, Brantley Wilkie and wife Pam of Lincolnton, NC, Jimmy Wilkie and wife Bonnie of Easley, SC, and Victor Wilkie of Greenville, SC. four great-nephews, Tyler McCall of Boiling Springs, NC, Matthew McCall of Pisgah Forest, NC, Raynor Wilkie of Lincolnton, NC and Tanner Wilkie of Easley, SC ;one great niece, Katie Wilkie of Atlanta, GA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11 am at the Moore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Owings and the Rev. Harold Sitton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM. at Moore Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pisgah Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Koala Adult Day Care, 242 Medical Park Drive, Brevard, NC 28712. Moore Funeral Home is serving the family.
