Gerri was born on June 30, 1927 to Gerald and Marian McKeeby. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids where she attended Polk Elementary School and Franklin High School. On October 2, 1948, she married Robert D. Repass, and they were married for 52 years, until his passing in 2000. She was also was the granddaughter of Dr. Byron McKeeby, who was famously known as the” man with the pitchfork” in Grant Wood’s American Gothic painting.

For 25 years, she worked at Bjornson, Inc. of Iowa, retiring as an Executive Vice President. She spent the majority of her career as a Property & Causality underwriter, having underwritten insurance for 1500 Iowa agents. She received her C.P.I. W. designation in 1973.

Gerri loved reading, playing cards, and most importantly, being with her family. After retirement, she spent over 13 years volunteering at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Gift Shop.
