Johanna W. Barnum, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, 99, passed away October 15, 1994 in Bountiful, Utah.

Johanna was born August 17, 1895 in Haysprings, Nebraska to Jacob H. and Helena M. Vanderloop Rutten. She married George Barnum May 10, 1920 in Chadron, Nebraska.

Johanna lived as a member of Swede Town for 60 years. Her greatest joy was her family.

She is survived by her children, Delores Walker, Anaheim, Calif.; Bettie (Dick) Anderson, Bountiful, Utah; Sue (Kent) Ashby, Sandy, Utah; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Ostermeyer, Crawford, Nebraska; brother, Richard Rutten, Albion, Nebraska.

Johanna was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 1994 at 3 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call at 2 p.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Parkview Nursing Home for all the care and attention give to Johanna.
