RODDY – John Paul, 69, Westmont, died Dec. 28, 2011. Preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Ruth (Lendel) Roddy; and brother, Theodore R. Roddy. Survived by loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis Roddy; daughters, Stephanie D. Burns, married to Tye; Cheryl L. Schwartz, married to Michael; and Michele A. Feltner; sons, John P. Roddy, married to Christi (Oliver); James R. Roddy, married to Holly (Sokach); and Thomas P. Roddy, married to Elizabeth (Smith); 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathleen Whipkey, married to Merle. John was an employee of the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat. He was a former employee of U.S. Steel and retired from Lee Hospital. John was a Westmont volunteer fireman, Westmont councilman, U.S. Navy veteran and on the parish council for Our Mother Of Sorrows Catholic Church. Friends received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, the Very Rev.
