Mr. Moonen was born April 11, 1904, at St. Anthony. He and Pauline Scherping were married on June 2, 1931, at Freeport. The couple lived at St. Francis for three years, then moved to Kelliher.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Floyd of Coon Rapids, Alvin of Kalispell, Mont., and Stephen of Prior Lake; three daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. John) Zacharias and Bertha Moonen, both of Minneapolis, and Audrey (Mrs. James) LeBrun of Isanti; four brothers, Albert of Fargo, Oscar of Albany, Alois of Seattle and George of Albany, Minn.; six sisters Christine Scherping of Albany, Clara Klein of Minneapolis, Margaret Gens of New York, Rose Bowder of Acala, Fla., Veronica Eastoring of Florida and Sophie McCarthy of New York; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
