Dr. John S. Tanner of Baylor University died at his home on South 7th yesterday. Heart trouble. Born Henderson county, Texas, 1869. Survived by wife and three children. Entered the ministry. Funeral tomorrow from Baylor. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

The name of his wife at the time of his death was Mary David Barton. His two young daughters were Aleph Carter and Aura Hooker.
