Thomas Jackson (Jack) Esselman, age 70, of Waxahachie, died Sunday afternoon, February 27, 1994, at Baylor Medical Center at Ellis County- Waxahachie.

He was born January 25, 1924, in Waxahachie to William Thomas and Mattie Throckmorton Esselman. He was a lifetime resident of Waxahachie and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Men's Downtown Bible Class.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. On November 27, 1948, he married Bert Elaine Hasting of Italy, and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on November 27.

He was an electrician for approximately 50 years. At the time of his death he was the owner and operator of Esselman Electric which begun in 1918 by his father, William (Bill) Esselman.

Survivors include his wife, Bert Esselman; daughter, Kristi Esselman; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Ellise Esselman and their children; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Bonnie Esselman and their children; a brother, Douglas Esselman of Waxahachie; sisters Ruth Cox of Waxahachie and Louise Griggs of Center, Texas; and brother Travis Esselman of Waco; and several nices and nephews.
