Audrey B. Willis, Galesburg Chapel 85, of Galesburg, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1926 in Northfield, Ill. the daughter of Cecil E. and Rose Fergusson Allred. She married Leland Watters and had two sons, Ronald and Thomas. Leland preceded her in death. She later married Gary Willis and had a son, Kip. Gary also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald R. (and Tarri) Watters of Galesburg, Thomas T. Watters of Peoria, Ill., and Kip (and Sara) Willis of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Kristin Watters and Kaleigh Willis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edwin Allred, Lawrence Allred, and Robert Allred; and a sister, Edna Allred.
Audrey was a telephone operator in California for a time. She also worked with her husband Leland as a clerk/bookkeeper for their business, Watters Painting and Construction. Audrey enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her family.
Cremation will be accorded. Private family graveside service will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 in East Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
