Dawson, Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church of Frederick, the Rev. John Battman, Huntingtown Unite Methodist Church and Mr. James Van Dozer of Mount Airy, officiated. Interment was in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
The Rev. Shannon was the husband of Mary Catherine Fry Shannon.
