Per obit notice; Born in North Bindslev, Denmark and came to America about 1870.Lived for a time in Racine, Wisconsin and Savannah, Illinois before settling in the Dakota Territory. He had a farm in the north-west quarter of section 18 in Centerville Township, four miles west of Centerville. His first wife was Anne Nelson. She died in 1879. His second wife was Petrine Nelson, sister of Anne.
