Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 20, page '179 for Union Township, Johnson County records that Sarah Selch, white female, age 78y 5m 28ds, and the widow of James Selch, died about 1:30 a. m. on May 25, 1904 in Union Township. The cause of death was "Heart Disease." She was the daughter of Samuel Tumay, born in New Jersey, and Eliza Carnine, born in Kentucky. The informant was Butler Selch of Providence, Indiana, and she was buried at Simpson Cemetery in Johnson County on May 26, 1904, Covert and Covert, undertakers.
