GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Mark Anthony Davis, 55, of Celeste are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Celeste/Hogeye Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Davis was born March 15, 1956 in Dallas. His parents were William Marvin and Iva Mae Dunson Davis. He attended school at Celeste, was a member of the Assembly of God Church and served his country in the United States Navy.
Mr. Davis loved his grandchildren and nature. He was an avid fisherman. He loved animals of all kinds and most morning took rides to watch the deer play.
Mr. Davis passed away at his residence in Celeste on Sunday, December 25, 2011.

Mr. Davis is survived by his father, Marvin Davis of Celeste; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Lacey Davis of Campbell; his brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Diana Davis of Celeste; his sisters, Sue Lamm of Celeste, Debra Davis of Plano and Donna Brown of Nevada; his grandsons, Andrew Makain and William Joseph Davis of Campbell; his nieces and nephews, Misty Dodson, Crystal Brown, Jackie Brown, Josh Brown and Joe Brandon Brown; his great nieces and nephews, to whom he was affectionately known as "GrandMark," Jaycee Brown, Koby Brown, Caleb Brown and Devon Brown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Mae Davis.
