Motion Picture Editor. He was noted for his fast-paced work in action films. Keller's dynamic cutting of the great car-chase sequence in "Bullitt" (1968) won him an Academy Award, and he received Oscar nominations for "Beach Red" (1967), "The Hot Rock" (1972), and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" (1973). His other films include "The Five Pennies" (1959), "Pocketful of Miracles" (1961), "Papa's Delicate Condition" (1962), "Murphy's War" (1971), "Mother, Jugs & Speed" (1976), and "Rolling Thunder" (1977). The Pennsylvania-born Keller worked for many years as an editing assistant before landing his first feature credit as editor for "The Bonnie Parker Story" (1958). In addition to his big screen duties, he worked on episodes of such TV series as "The Avengers" and "Star Trek". He also served for two years as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Board of Governors.
