June Ann "Momo" Meinershagen, age 95 of Lee's Summit, Missouri died on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at John Knox Care Center in Lee's Summit.

Born Sunday, June 18, 1916 in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Schrader and Ethel Swope Schrader. She grew up in Kokomo, Indiana and attended Indiana University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She moved to New Mexico where she met her future husband, Delmar (Dick) Meinershagen. Married July 16, 1939, she and Dick moved to Dick's hometown, Higginsville, Missouri, where they had five children and lived for the next 51 years. Besides being a very dedicated mother, June was involved in all aspects of the community.

In 1992 June moved to Kansas City where she was a member of the Raytown Christian Church. Five years ago, she moved to John Knox Village in Lee's Summit.

June was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ in Higginsville. She was also a former member of P.E.O. Chapter EK,, served as a 4-H leader and was a member of P.T.A. She also enjoyed her weekly bridge club, bowling league and golf league. She volunteered at Research Medical Center for 15 years and was the recipient of a 50-year pin from P.E.O. Chapter KC as well as a 75-year pin from Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Dick of 53 years;a son, Robert; a brother, Richard Schrader and wife Jean; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Elvira (Susie) Willer.

Surviving are one son, Steven Meinershagen of Lee's Summit, Missouri; three daughters, Julie (Paul) Riekhof and Nancy (James) Bell, both of Prairie Village, Kansas; and Robin (Paul) Eaton of Kansas City, Missouri; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Salem United Church of Christ, 1500 Main St. Higginsville, with the Pastor Betty Thaller officiating, Doris Jane Stoner, organist and Mitchell Albert, vocalist. Interment will be in Salem United Cemetery, Higginsville.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 .A.M to 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorials to : Raytown Christian Church, 6108 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, Missouri 64133; Salem United Church of Christ, 1501 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037; or Village Hospice, 400 N.W. Murray Rd., Lees Summit, Missouri 64081.

Pallbearers are Bob Riekhof, Mike Riekhof, David Riekhof, Tom Riekhof, John Riekhof, Mark Bell, Michael Bell, and Jason Benjamin.
