Ed Mahoney
LIVE OAK - Ed Mahoney of Live Oak died Thursday in Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee after a brief illness. He was 77.
Born in Trimble County, Ky., Mr. Mahoney moved to Live Oak in 1968 from Carrollton, Ky. He was owner/operator of Mahoney Mobile Homes and J&E Tractor Sales in Live Oak. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Mahoney was a member of Moose Lodge in Lake City and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Mahoney of Live Oak; four daughters, Rita Corbin of Live Oak, Sandy Snyder of Carrollton, Bette Burns of New Albany, Ind., and Kathy Hudgins of Glasgow, Ky.; two sons, Tommy Mahoney of Milton, Ky., and Jerry Driver of Lafayette, Tenn.; a brother, Elgene Mahoney of Madison, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
