Roscoe LeRoy Williams passed away quietly at his home on December 24, 2011.

He was born in Murray, UT on December 18, 1929 to Rea LeRoy and Ada Labrum Williams.

Married Elaine Rushton on June 9, 1950; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Elaine passed away on February 28, 2007.

Roscoe was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in high standing, where he held various church callings. He was an avid golfer, fisher, and hunter. He was a very loving and caring neighbor and friend, and gave to anyone in need. He will be sorely missed.

Survived by his sisters, Ann M. VanDerMeer of South Weber, and Sharon Dolittle of West Valley City; sister-in-law, Pat Williams of Paradise, Utah; numerous nieces and nephews; and his "adopted" children. Preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 in the Taylorsville Thirty-Ninth Ward, 4932 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), and 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the services on Friday.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
