Andrea E. Alder, age 59, passed away at her home on Sunday Dec 25, 2011 with her loved ones. She was born on Sept 2, 1952 in Elkhorn, WI to Robert T. and Elizabeth (Duckwitz) Alder. She married Charles B. Kreul on May 31, 1979 in Madison, WI. Andrea graduated from Colorado State University with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree from the school of Occupational Therapy in 1977. She worked passionately for 35 years in public organizations helping children with special needs. Her hobbies included knitting, reading, kayaking, sewing, being outdoors and traveling. Survivors include her husband Charles; three children Erin (Brian) Teegan, Ethan and Stephen Kreul; two grandchildren, Finnigan and Olivia Teegan; one sister Susan Riesberg; three brothers Robert, James and Michael Alder. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Steven M. Alder. A memorial service will be held on Friday Dec 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A reception with friends and family will be held at Rex's Innkeeper following the service. Memorials may be made to Autism One (www.autismone.org) A non-profit organization started by a small group of parents of children with autism, with the goal to educate and help families with Autism.
