Armenie (Lourian) Bach
WONDER LAKE – Armenie Bach (nee Lourian), of Wonder Lake, was born on the 4th of July, 1939, and passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, after suffering a stroke.
She was the devoted wife of the late Gene Paul Bach. They were married Sept. 14, 1957.
Armenie loved the Lord Jesus and was very involved in her church. She had a great sense of humor and was known for her wacky hats and brightly colored hairstyle. She took the lemons of life and made "lemonade." She embraced everyone she met. Armenie was blessed by many dear friends and relatives and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents, Azniv and Nicholas Lourian; her brother, Sam Lourian (Janet); her sister, Ann Stangl (Bob); and a granddaughter, Bethany Jean Fay.
She is survived by her children, Gene Bach of Wonder Lake; Ragan Bach of Tuscon, Ariz.; and Valerie Bach Pennell (Mike) of Petersburg. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Ben Fay of Chicago and Rebecca Fay of Petersburg; a nephew, Bob Stangl (Andrea) of Algonquin; a niece, Holly Moest (Steve) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a nephew, Nicholas Lourian (Joy) of Sacramento, Calif.; along with her great-nephews and -nieces.
There will be a one-hour visitation beginning at noon with the memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Wonder Lake Bible Church, 7511 Howe Road, Wonder Lake, with a reception following. For information, call 815-728-0422.
