Mrs. Carrie Jenkin Shumaker, 77, of Meyersdale, R. D. 3, died at Meyersdale Community Hospital.
She was born June 26, 1887 in Charleston, W. Va., a daughter of the late Noah and Mary Troutman Jenkin. For many years she owned and operated a store and service station in Pocohontos. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Royal Neighbors of America and the Greenville Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.
