He is a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He was employed by Waycross Battery and Electric. He also served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He is the son of the late Haward Lewis Summerall and Tilda Taylor Summerall.
Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Summerall of Alma, and Samantha Cox of Waycross; two sons, Carroll Summerall, Jr. of Alma, and Marcus Summerall (wife Mary) of Waycross; 7 grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Summerall (wife Hazel) of Sycamore, and Rev. Johnny Summerall (wife Janice) of Waycross; three sisters, Susie Groover of Waycross, Gwen Berry (husband Richard) of Griffin, and Eunice Miles (husband Billy) of Waycross; former wife, Debra Summerall of Waycross; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday (June 27, 2006) at First Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the church.
Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
