OBIT: Oregon. Journal, 22 June 1954, p. 5 "W.P. Moloney Requiem mass was offered at Holy Redeemer church for William P. Moloney, 53, of 5745 N. Kirby Avenue., chief special agent for the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway. He died Saturday.
Moloney was born in Portland and in his early years earned a reputation as a football player at Benson Tech. He started working for the railroad as a patrolman 27 years ago (1927).
His father, Patrick R. Moloney, and his uncle John Moloney, were lieutenants on the Portland police force for a number of years.
Concluding services were held at Mount Calvary cemetery under direction of the Hennessey, Goetsch and McGee funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, May; son, John P. Moloney; mother, Mrs. P.R. Moloney, and four grandchildren, all of Portland."
