FAIRLAND - Mrs. Oren E. Buker, well known resident of this place, died Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock in the Jarman hospital, Tuscola , where she underwent an operation, Friday, for the removal of an intestinal abscess . Gangrene, which developed following the operation, caused her death. Mrs. Buker had been ill two weeks.

Martha Driver was born in State Line, lnd., April 9, 1861, and as a small child came to this community with her parents to make their home. She spent practically all her life In the vicinity of Fairland. She married O. E. Buker on January 17, 1882.

The deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Walter Buker and Mrs . Josie Dowden, both of Longview; Mrs. Don Ankron of Lovington, Mrs. Roy Mercer of Indianapolis, lnd., and Lulu Buker at home. She is also survived by a brother, Levi Driver of Longview, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Hardyman of Broadlands.

Funeral services will be held at the family home, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Fairfield cemetery, north of Newman.
