Mable Akridge Bass, 87, of Pelham, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at Archbold Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec.31, at Braswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Keith Goodlett officiated. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery. Casketbearers were her grandsons.
Born Aug. 14, 1917 in Hartsfield, she was the daughter of the late Nora Kelly Akridge and the late Carl Akridge. She was married to the late Vonnie Leo Bass, Sr. She was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress.
Survivors include one son, Vonnie Leo Bass, Jr. of Pelham; two daughters, Sharon Daniel of Pelham and Ann Lockhart of Albany; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Daphene Bass of Pebble City.
Braswell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
