Nancy Dorine Theobald (McGee), age 75, of Adams, MN, died peacefully Monday afternoon, December 26, 2011, at St. Anthony Health Care Center in St. Anthony, MN.
She was born March 11, 1936, in Austin, MN, to Emmett and Doris (Palmer) McGee. Nancy graduated from high school in Adams, MN in 1954. On May 19, 1956, she married Lawrence "Tex" Theobald. Nancy worked with Elementary students in the Southland School District. She enjoyed gardening, singing, and was a passionate artist. Her life was filled with loving her husband, children, and grandchildren and being a wonderful daughter and sister to her family and in-laws.
Nancy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sharon Theobald, of Haverhill, MA; daughters Julie Theobald and Joy Theobald of New Brighton, MN; son and daughter-in-law Scott Theobald and Bridgette Soutiea, of Longmont, CO; son and daughter-in-law Alex and Jill Theobald, of Fridley, MN; son, Steve Theobald of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Grant Vaith and his wife Michelle, of Minneapolis, MN; Courtney Vaith of Minneapolis, MN; and Hayden Theobald, of Longmont, CO. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, her parents and her siblings, Rita, Mercedes, Charles, Gerald and Jacqueline.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, December, 30, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Interment will be at a future date in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, from 4-8pm at the Adams Funeral Home, with a 4pm prayer service, and Friday from 10-11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
