Arnold "Buck" C. Cook, 85, of Laramie passed away Dec. 19 at Davis Hospice Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Cowley. He was raised on the family farm in Deaver. He married his sweetheart, Donna Lee Goodrich, on May 15, 1946. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this last spring.

He worked as a carpenter and cabinetmaker throughout Wyoming and spent the last few years before retirement in the University of Wyoming cabinet shop. He enjoyed anything that kept him outdoors. He especially liked to spend the winter ice fishing on the lakes around Wyoming.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hyrum V. and Margeret Cook; his brother, Hyrum C.; and sisters, Opal, Rose, Geneal, and Marjory. He is survived by his wife, Donna; six children, Arnold G., Edward G., Jack G. (Jacque), Janet (Phil) Buchholz, Shauna Dee (Jeff) Davis, and Kenneth G. (Stacey); 12 grandchildren, Randi Lyn, Ashley Jean, Rikki Lee, Lacey, Kayleigh, Thaxton, Rhett, Zach, Kaitlynn, Keegan, Donna, and Sandy; and several great-grandchildren, Jason, Dylan, Raychel, Damion, Landon, Sydney, Michelle, Elizabeth, Hanna, Abigail, Joshua, Sarah, Emileigh, Easton, and Brock.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at LDS Stake House at 3311 Hayford Ave. in Laramie. Graveside service will be in Lovell at a later date.

Those who wish may contribute to the Davis Hospice Center in memory of Buck, at 6000 Sycamore Road, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
