NAMPA — Harry Frank Clark, 88, of Nampa, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1988, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Sam Guy Smith, Chaplain of the El Korah Shrine in Boise officiating. Masonic Chapel rites will be by the Nampa Lodge #29 AF&AM. Private family burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Clark was born Aug. 11, 1899, at Ashtabula, Ohio, a son of Henry and Theresa Bennetti Clark. At a young age he moved to Ely, Nev. with his parents where he was reared and educated. He married Vivienne Mary Fish on April 29, 1925, at Ogden, Utah where they made their home. While in Ogden he worked for his father at the Clark's Packing Co. He then started buying, and selling cattle and they lived in Nevada and Arizona. While living Phoenix he started flying and was a pilot and airport operator there. They then moved to Ely, Nevada where he started the Silver State Flight Service which he owned and operated for nine years. Harry flew the first mail route between Ely, Elko and Reno. In 1940 they moved to Nampa where he started the Clark's Flying Service with operations in Mt. Home, Parma with headquarters in Nampa. He owned and operated the flying service until his retirement in 1975. They had resided in Nampa since. During World War II Harry was at F.F.A. Flight Instructor for the U.S. Army and Navy flight students. He was also an examiner for commercial pilot students.

He was a member of the Nampa Grace Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Nampa BPOE #1389 and had been a member of the Elks for 67 years. He was a member of the Gold Rush Club in Idaho City and a member of the Nampa Lodge #29 AF&AM., the Scottish Rites Bodies, the El Korah Shrine Temple in Boise, the Royal Order of Jester #31, the El Korah Greeters, past president of the Nampa Shrine Club, an Ambassador for the El Korah Shrine and a member of the One Hundred Million Dollar Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife of Nampa.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, c/o The El Korah Temple, P.O. Box 1127, Boise, Idaho 83701, the Hospice Program, c/o Mercy Medical Center, 1512 12th Ave. Rd., Nampa, Idaho 83651 or flowers may be sent.

Friends may call Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
