S. Edward Kelvington, 83, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011, at Exeter Healthcare, Exeter, New Hampshire. He was born on March 10, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to George Albert Kelvington Jr., and Helen F. (Thompson) Kelvington.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II .

He was a former longtime resident of Wilton, New Hampshire. An auto mechanic by trade, he was formerly employed as the head service manager at Milford Ford for many years. He was a member of the Community Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Nashua, and Past Master of the Clinton Lodge F&AM No. 52 of Wilton. A former recipient of the Maj. Gen. John Sullivan Award, he was also an active member of the Bektash Shrine.

A resident of Epping, New Hampshire, for the last 18 years, he was a very handy and skilled craftsman around the home who also enjoyed working with wood.

He is survived by:
…his wife of 19 years, Patricia A. Kelvington of Epping;
…four sons,
……Edward J. Kelvington of Whitefield;
……James W. Kelvington of Nashua;
……Lyle R. Kelvington of Mount Vernon, and
……Keith P. Kelvington of Nashua;
…three stepsons,
……Michael A. Kolenski,
……David Kolenski, and
……Steven Kolenski, all of Manchester;
…a stepdaughter, Linda Heath of Manchester;
…three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and
…two great-great grandchildren;
…one brother, Bill H. Kelvington of Vicksburg, Mississippi;
…several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends was held Tuesday, September 13th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, New Hampshire.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 14th, at 11 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 5 St. Laurent St., Nashua, with Pastor Geoff DeFranca officiating the service.

Burial with military honors followed in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, New Hampshire..
