AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Jane Rollins Teasley, 74, wife of the late Tracy S. Teasley, Sr. Mrs. Teasley was a native of Burke County, GA and lifelong resident of Martinez, GA. She was a retired Realtor and Insurance agent, where she worked side by side with her late husband for more than 43 years. Mrs. Teasley was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the Turner England Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Teasley, or Me Ma as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, great-grandchild, and those close to her, was an excellent gardener and cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rebecca Talley and staff, Dr. Brent Edwards and staff for their special care of her over the years; and recently two special caregivers and friends, Brenda Bennett and Morgan Goldman, both of Lincolnton. Surviving family members include son: Tracy Steve Teasley, Jr. (Kitty) of Grovetown; daughter, Stephanie Teasley Eicher (Paul) of Lincolnton; grandsons: Tracy S. Teasley, III (Betsy) of Martinez, Tanner Spencer Eicher of Lincolnton; granddaughter, Kelli Listemann (Greg) of Richlands, NC; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Listemann; sister-in-law, Phyllis Teasley; brother-in-law, John A. Teasley (Judy); numerous nieces, nephews; and special friends: Andrina Chancey and Roy Carter. Mrs. Teasley was preceded in death by her parents: James S. and Mattie Mae Joiner Rollins; and half brother: Barney Rollins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 1322 Ellis Street, Augusta, GA 30901 to assist Tornado and Flood Victims. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907, (706) 364-8484.
