Mrs. Mary L. Allen, 45, 1904 Armstrong, died today at Baptist Memorial hospital, Kansas City, Mo., where she had been three days following a 6-week illness. Born in Topeka, she had lived in Kansas City Kansas 40 years. Mrs. Allen worked 12 years for the Kansas City Southern railroad, and at the time of her death was assistant to the superviser of the hospital association of the road. She was a member of all Saints' Lutheran church, Mendias chapter 1, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a life member of the Kansas City, Kansas Congress of Parents and Teachers. Surviving are her widower, Arthur D. Allen, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Sally Jo Manczuk, 1851 Armstrong, and Mrs. Sharon Lee Grable, 58 S. 23rd; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine E. Brown, Knobnoster, Mo; and two grandsons. Services are pending at the Porter and Sons chapel.
