While there is no indication that Lydia Jane 'Jennie' (Fullerton) Haner, wife of William Seward Haner, was connected to Lulu in any way more than as her adoptive mother (there are NO DNA matches among Lulu's descendants to any Fullerton lines)... nonetheless, DNA has confirmed (via multiple DNA matches to parallel Haner family lines) that William Seward Haner was in fact Lulu's biological father.
Who her biological mother was, or what circumstances existed such that her biological mother left the infant on the doorstep of William S Haner's household, where the child was subsequently raised ... are questions which, at this point, remain unanswered. But much credit should be given to the adoptive mother who lovingly raised another woman's child.
