Born in Leesburg, he was a longtime resident of Ocklawaha. Mr. Kilgoar retired from the U.S. Forestry Service, after 38 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Kilgoar was Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Pittman Kilgoar, Ocklawaha; daughter, Zenda Kay Hayes, Weirsdale; son, Richard "Choppy" Kilgoar, Cedar Creek; sisters, Betty Reighard, Winter Haven and Novella Brannon, Savannah, Ga.; and one grandchild.
