James Taylor Catlett, 75, of Bowling Green, KY and formerly of Hopkinsville, KY died at 2:50 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky following a long illness.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, KY with Terry Alan Jones and Walter Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Harrodsburg, KY he was born November 13, 1936 the son of the late Leon and Lucille Taylor Catlett. He retired as Executive Director of South Kentucky Industrial Development. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ and a longtime member of the Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife: Lucy Tuggle Catlett; a son: Stephen Mattison of Bowling Green, KY; three daughters: Michele Catlett of Mount Sterling, KY, Amy Maguire of Belleair, Florida, and Elizabeth Mattison of Bowling Green, KY; a brother: Daryl Catlett of Harrodsburg, KY; and a sister: Janet Reed of Harrodsburg, KY; and seven grandchildren.
