Sarah was born in Gainesville, Georgia on February 20, 1920, the daughter of Journey and Mary Sloan, and was a resident of the Flint area since 1952. She married William Hainline on November 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2011.
She served in the U.S. Army Medics during World War II. She was a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary. She was also a member of Grand Blanc Church of Christ. Surviving are children, Annette Pulliam of Flint Township, Randy of Union City, TN and Kerry of Davison; 2 Grandchildren, Louis (Patricia) Pulliam of Flint and Shawn Pulliam of Orlando, FL; 3 great-granddaughters, Talia, Selina, and Lillianna Pulliam; brother, L.C. and wife Mildred Sloan of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Eva Sloan of GA; and several nieces and nephews.
