Paul was the older of two sons born to Adam & Victoria (Wrublewski) Rezachek.

On 19 October 1946, Paul married Corrie Helene Iverson at the Lutheran Evangelical Church in Two Rivers, WI; he was age 22, she was 17. Corrie was the third of four daughters born to Alf & Evelyn Martha (Schmidt) Iverson.

Corrie shared: "we met at a wedding dance & it was 'love at first sight'; we were engaged from June through October 1946 (after I graduated from high school). We were soul mates; he never actually said 'Will you marry me?'; we just knew we would be married.

"We honeymooned in Door County, WI.
"

Paul served as a US Navy Radioman during World War-II. After the war, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering before going on to a career as a standards engineer. He started (1956) with Univac Corporation and then (until retirement) with Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing (3M).

A gentle & generous man, Paul loved his family and going camping & fishing; often driving hours for weekend camping at favorite locations in Burnett County, WI. He often talked about how his dream when growing up was to be Park Ranger; but he always placed his family first.
