Deceased Was Court Reporter at Crystal Falls
Aaron Tufts, Crystal Falls circuit court reporter for the twenty-fifth judicial district, died Thursday evening at St. Francis hospital at Escanaba. Funeral services will be held Monday at Crystal Falls. Mr. Tufts was well known to members of the legal profession on the range. Death was caused by a stomach ailment.
Mr. Tufts was born July 17, 1911 in Crystal Falls. He was valedictorian of his high school class in 1928. He was employed in the Iron County bank after leaving school and later in the law office of L. C. Caswell. He was appointed circuit court reporter 10 years ago.
He leaves his mother, three brothers and a sister.

Aaron Tufts, 34, Dies At Crystal Falls Thursday
Aaron Tufts, nephew of Mayor and Mrs. Wilson, died Thursday evening at his home at Crystal Falls. He had been a sufferer from a stomach ailment. He was 34 years of age and for a number of years held the position as court recorder for the 25th judicial district. The Wilson family left Thursday evening for the family home. Mr. Tufts was unmarried and had spent most of his life in Iron county. A brother, Capt. Ben Tufts, who has been in the South Pacific, was visiting at home when his brother died.
