She was born in Franklin County to the late William T. and Martha Oakes Horsley.
She was a member of McCabe Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Bates, Mrs. Susie Smith and Mrs. Gertrude Jones, all of Martinsville; two sons, Rossie Amos and William D. Spencer, both of Rt. 2, Martinsville; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stone Funeral Home by the Rev. J.T. Naff. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7 until 9 tonight and at other times at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Bates, 119 Park Street.
